Veronica R. Woods is a Senior Associate in our Family Law Practice Group.
Ms. Woods’ experience includes handling all aspects of family law, particularly relating to divorce, paternity and custody issues, and post-judgment modification matters. She also counsels high net-worth individuals and couples in complex financial matters and business interests, as they pertain to intricate California community property laws.
Ms. Woods represents some of the following individuals and/or their spouses:
Working in the context of both litigation and settlement for over 12 years, Ms. Woods also represents clients in custody and visitation rights, child and spousal support, property control, division of assets, and domestic violence restraining orders. Her experience includes both pre- and post-nuptial agreements, annulments, parentage matters and restraining orders. She has participated in Voluntary Settlement Conferences and represented clients in lengthy court trials.
Ms. Woods earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 2001, and continued there to earn a Masters of Law in Taxation the following year. While in law school, Ms. Woods served as Articles Editor for the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy; both President and Vice President for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA); Treasurer for Accepting Women As Recognized Equals (AWARE); Attorney and Witness for Moot Court Hoffman Cup Competitions; and client for Client Counseling Competition.
Ms. Woods attended California State University, Northridge, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
