Steven L. Feldman is a Shareholder in our Business and Civil Litigation, Environmental, and Real Estate Practice Groups.
As an experienced real property and environmental litigator, Mr. Feldman has successfully represented clients involved in real estate litigation and environmental matters concerning water, soil, and other remediation claims in a variety of industries, including agribusiness; commercial and industrial real estate; transportation; chemical and product manufacturing and distribution; leaking underground/aboveground storage tanks, dry cleaning products, and other consumer service sectors where potentially harmful chemicals and products are stored, distributed or used.
Mr. Feldman holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license (since 1990). His experience includes a wide variety of real property and environmental matters, including claims related to:
Real property-related litigation, including boundary line and easement disputes
Commercial and industrial real estate transactional matters, including representation of landlords and commercial tenants in leasehold matters
CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, a/k/a Superfund)

He also handles environmental due diligence matters with respect to the purchase and sale of real property, including the evaluation of All Appropriate Inquiry/ASTM E-1527-13 Phase I and II investigations, and advises on matters of state and federal environmental compliance, and related matters.
Mr. Feldman’s successes include defeating the Environmental Protection Agency in an administrative trial related to Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act claims brought against a client who distributed chemical products. He further obtained a substantial award of attorney fees from the EPA under the Equal Access to Justice Act. Mr. Feldman also successfully defended a chemical manufacturer in a multi-party CERCLA-related action in which contaminants released into ground water were generated by third parties.
Additionally, Mr. Feldman handles litigation regarding unfair competition, false advertising, Lanham Act and trade secret protection and litigation, misappropriation of funds, investment fraud and will and trust litigation controversies.
During his career, Mr. Feldman has obtained multimillion-dollar decisions and settlements in a wide variety of matters.
His Reported Appellate Decisions include AllChem Performance Products, Inc. v. Oreq Corp., 2013 WL 180460 (N.D.Tex. Jan 17, 2013) (NO. 3:11-CV-3577-D),Anglo Irish Bank Corp., PLC v. Superior Court, 165 Cal.App.4th 969, 81 Cal.Rptr.3d 535 (2008), Tri-Tech Internet Services v. Minassian 2011 WL 386843 (Cal.App. 2 Dist. 2011), and Guiragosian v. Southern California Edison 2003 WL 22847316 (Cal.App. 2 Dist., 2003).
A member of the State Bar of California, Mr. Feldman is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of the Central and Eastern Districts, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Feldman has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer each consecutive year since 2009 to the present, as published in Los Angeles Magazine and Super Lawyers Magazine.
