Nicholas Kanter is a Shareholder in our Employment and Business Litigation Practice Groups.
As an employment defense attorney, Mr. Kanter is experienced in defending claims based on discrimination, retaliation and harassment, as well as alleged violations of California wage and hour laws. Through effective litigation strategies, he is often able to obtain early dismissals or resolve claims for a fraction of early demands.
Aside from employment defense litigation, Mr. Kanter also represents firm clients in connection with trademark matters – including prosecuting trademark applications, responding to Office Actions raised by the U.S. Trademark Office and prosecuting and defending cancellation and opposition actions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Mr. Kanter has also been successful in assisting real estate investors obtain possession to properties purchased at trustee sales. He successfully represents business owners in a variety of industries, including:

Earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 2002, Mr. Kanter graduated with honors. He joined our Firm after receiving his law degree in 2005 from Pepperdine University School of Law, where the Los Angeles attorney graduated cum laude. While at Pepperdine University, Mr. Kanter was a member of the Moot Court Board and was on the Dean's List for 2003, 2004 and 2005.
The business litigation attorney is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He has been selected a Southern California Super Lawyer and Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine, each year since 2013.
