Vanessa Soto Nellis received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000, graduating Cum Laude. While at U.C.L.A., she was a member of several honor societies, including the Golden Key National Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. She joined the firm after receiving her law degree in 2003 from the University of Southern California Law School where her honors included the Public Interest Law Foundation Grant as well as a L.A. County Bar Association Pro Bono Award. She received honors grades in: Contracts, Evidence, Family Violence, Family Violence Clinic, Family Law, Constitutional Law II, Law & Psychiatry, Real Estate Transactions, and Gender Discrimination. While in law school, she interned at the Alliance for Children's Rights and the U.S.C. Family Violence Clinic. In July 2007, Vanessa was listed in Los Angeles Magazine as a "Rising Star" by her peers and through the magazine's independent research. In February 2008, Vanessa was included in the Super Lawyers' "2008 Southern California Rising Stars" list. Ms. Nellis' practice currently emphasizes the area of family law.
