Amy I. Huberman

 

 

Amy Ilene Huberman is an Associate Attorney in our Employment Practice Group. She represents employers before state and federal administrative agencies, in litigation, and in employee claims prevention.

Additionally, Ms. Huberman works to reduce employer liability by providing counsel regarding best practices for:

  • Correct Classification of Workers
  • Hiring & Firing
  • Wage & Hour Issues

Previously, as a court-appointed civil litigator with a case load of close to 300 matters, Ms. Huberman drafted defense motions and briefs and represented clients in all aspects of legal proceedings. Ms. Huberman served on a legislative committee and assisted with drafting several bills that Governor Jerry Brown signed into law.

Ms. Huberman earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University Law School in Los Angeles, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Arizona. 

As an undergraduate at the University of Arizona, Ms. Huberman studied abroad in Madrid, Spain where she attended Complutense University of Madrid and immersed herself in the Spanish language and culture. In law school, Ms. Huberman served as an intern at the Santa Monica City Attorney's Office and judicial clerk for the Honorable Amy Pellman. 

Ms. Huberman was the recipient of the Southwestern Public Interest Law Service Award and served as Class Representative of the Student Bar Association.
